Since the World Cup is in full swing we thought we would add some news relevant to the sport. CEO, Vincent Drolet of Montreal based event firm Circo de Bakuza made the front page of the Financial Post for breaking through the Euro-centric UEFA Champions League to plan the “world’s most-watched annual sporting event” opening ceremonies. The event was a success, being labeled “the best Champions League ceremony yet” by UEFA president Michel Platini.

The Marketing Maven’s Guide to Facebook analyzed 5,800+ brand Facebook pages and nearly 1.6 million total posts. They were able to discover a number of interesting facts from their study. One of the highlights is that the majority of brand Facebook posts (67.3 percent) are written at a fifth grade level or below. Did any of you think that? We thought that some of the highlights were quite interesting and wanted to share them with you.
