What are public relations?
What a mysterious profession is ours—and apparently difficult to grasp! Public relations is a service that allows organizations to manage, plan, and organize communications with their target audiences. In short, we help clients to communicate more effectively with the people who matter to them by using various means and strategies, with due regard for transparency and integrity.
Do you oversee projects in all parts of Canada and internationally?
Our team manages various Canada and U.S.-wide projects from Montreal. If required, we call on agencies in other cities. Thanks to our Worldcom PR Group network, we have strong ties with over 100 partners worldwide.
Do you have an inhouse graphic design and advertising team?
Our team develops and oversees design projects that we entrust to outside experts with whom we have developed effective business links and procedures.
How can we be sure that you will make our company’s projects a priority?
At CASACOM, we don’t accept projects we can’t complete successfully. Our priority is achieving results for every client. We set out from day one with the conviction that our firm would be in demand if we delivered results, and that’s exactly what we’ve accomplished.
How do you measure results?
For each PR program, we establish clear and measurable goals with our clients. The success of our programs can always be measured. More elaborate methods (surveys, etc.) are often used and vary depending on budget.
How do you ensure quality in house?
No one at CASACOM works in a vacuum. Strategies, documents, and decisions are all reviewed by more than one person. Moreover, we have established work standards and procedures that ensure reliability and thoroughness in everything we do.
How do you bill your work?
Our clients can choose from a number of options. Whether fees are billed monthly, by project, or per hour, our goal is always the same—no surprises. To ensure this, we openly discuss budget issues as often as necessary.
Do you bill management fees?
No, we do not bill management fees as percentages on our invoices. However, we add a 17.75% administration fee for expenses incurred on behalf of clients. This fee can be avoided by paying our suppliers directly.
Why are there fewer men than women at CASACOM?
This is the situation throughout our profession. We would like to have more men on our team. However, public relations attracts many more women than men, as university enrollments clearly indicate. This is also reflected in hiring. We receive very few applications from men for most of the positions we offer.
Which qualities do you seek in the people you hire?
Passion for a job well done, the ability to listen, thoroughness, courage, ambition, and generosity are among the qualities we seek in all our employees. Chemistry with the rest of the team is also essential. At CASACOM, being on good terms is part of the pleasure of working together every day.
What is CASACOM’s growth rate?
CASACOM has experienced an annual growth rate of 45% since it was founded in 2001. The average growth rate in the industry is 7%. We are delighted to note that much of our growth is due to our clients. Not only are they loyal to us, they also often recommend us to other clients. There is no greater vote of confidence than that!
Who owns CASACOM?
CASACOM was founded in 2001 by Marie-Josée Gagnon, who is the owner.
