Vice President

Maybe it’s just my job, but I have a real passion for the world around me. I love being in the thick of the action, then stepping back to analyze and understand it all. Everything interests me, from decisions by heads of state and the challenges facing businesses to how the economy’s doing, whether the Habs are winning, what science can teach us, and what our finest creative minds are thinking these days.

After studying political science at UQAM, I stood as a candidate in the provincial election of 1994, beginning a fascinating and incredibly rewarding 11 year stint in the world of politics. I was by turns press secretary, assistant chief of staff to the minister of municipal affairs and Greater Montreal, and chief of staff to the minister of public security and then the justice minister and attorney-general of Quebec. I spent my last two years in this fast-paced environment as a political advisor and press secretary to Bernard Landry, then leader of the opposition at the National Assembly.

Throughout this time I had the good fortune to work on fascinating issues that involved me in all sorts of fields. Among them, social housing policy, the creation of Emploi-Québec, the setup of Carrefour jeunesse-emploi youth employment centers, municipal reorganization, the Police Act, the Act respecting correctional services, and hands-on work on emergency measures in response to the ice storm of 1998. After politics, I worked at CSQ (Centrale des syndicats du Québec) as press secretary to the CSQ president during public sector negotiations.

I began my career with CASACOM in 2006, first as a senior advisor, then as vice president beginning in 2007. As well as being in a field that I love, I get to work alongside a bright, devoted team that shoots for the stars, both for itself and for its clients. I can’t get enough of the varied and complex challenges that strategic planning, media training, and crisis management present me with every day. No wonder my work reminds me so much of politics!

And what do you love about your job?
