Jacynthe Bérubé
Executive Assistant
I’ve always had ambition and drive, and the energy to get things done. Being from a military family, I learned at a very young age what it meant to be determined and organized. I didn’t realize then to what extent my upbringing would guide me along life’s path. But now I can see it has.
I was first drawn to technology and chose to study computers. After some work in that area, my path branched off into office work, where I found how satisfying it was to help people coordinate their projects. So it was no surprise in 2006 when I began a degree in business, a program I am still pursuing.
I also lived in Abitibi where I was able to experience life in a remote area and work in television. For one and a half years, I learned almost all there is to know about cable TV. At the age of 23, I was the youngest manager in the history of the company.
Yet more adventures awaited me, notably as a speaker on a cruise ship to the Caribbean and Mediterranean. This irresistible calling gave me the chance to learn a few foreign languages like Italian and Romanian. One day my boat made its way to port for good. I continued on to Romania where I developed administrative expertise while in charge of running a small business. There I fell in love, taught French and English, and even gave yoga classes!
Now back in Quebec, my path has brought me to CASACOM. Not only do I work with a strong team in an area that I’m passionate about, but I get to use all the know-how and experience I’ve amassed to date.
As you can see, I’m not into predictable routines. In fact, I love surprises and up to now I’ve been blessed with them in abundance!
And what about you, is your life predictable or full of surprises?
