Back to school 2020: One for the books!

As uncertainty looms around the start of the school year, CASACOM has been working closely with our clients in the education sector to build campaigns that help close the communication gap.

Most recently, our team worked with Hooked on School Days, an organization which aims to remind students, parents, people working in the education system, employers and regional stakeholders through their events and activities, that they are all indispensable and have a role to play to encourage students to stay in school.

How do we communicate the right messages to educate youth and their parents? What tools will allow us to best reassure and motivate school teams? These issues, and many others, have been driving many players in the education network for several weeks. This is the case for Hooked on School Days, which launched a national campaign (TV, web, posters) to mark the unprecedented back-to-school season. CASACOM supported them in the development and execution of the concept to encourage adults to support young people during this difficult period.

In order to reassure parents and young people about the measures put in place by the education sector, Montreal Hooked on School engaged CASACOM to produce a series of video clips by experts addressing common fears about the new school year. We worked closely with school principals, a pediatrician from CHU Sainte-Justine, and Mylène Drouin, Montreal’s Director of Public Health to provide a variety of credible resources and points of view.
