Director, Communications

CASACOM seeks an experienced, driven, and passionate individual to join the Toronto team as the new Director of Communications. This role will involve the initiation, development, design, and execution of strategic plans for the agency’s communications practice. A natural leader, he/she will share his/her knowledge and support with his/her employees to further their professional development.

Primary Responsibilities:

Client Excellence: Ensuring clients and accounts are serviced at the highest level and adhere to CASACOM’s standards of excellence.

Business Development: Nurture current accounts/clients and bring new business to the firm. Participation in all aspects of business development including lead generation, plan development, and pitching.

Strategic Planning: Creative planning including development of new business presentations and pitches and client proposals

Account Management: Oversee all elements of public relations campaigns, from strategy and planning to execution and reporting.

Team Management: Manage team members in Toronto & Montreal, work with additional partners as needed

A mix of corporate and consumer experience

Requirements:

7 years of experience in the communications field

Experience in large-scale project management.

Experience managing budgets, working with billable hours, forecasting and ensuring account profitability.

Strong management skills including the ability to manage a team spread across multiple offices.

Commitment to delivering outstanding client service, providing both strategic counsel and hands-on results.

Ability to think both analytically and creatively.

Expertise in navigating challenging situations, including crisis communications, in partnership with senior executives.

Strong presentation skills

French as a second language is an asset but not required (spoken and written).

University degree in Communications, Public Relations, and/or related field.
