Bringing Smart Home Tech to Canada

Challenge

Netatmo, a French company developing consumer electronics for a better and connected lifestyle wanted to position themselves as a global leader and innovator in smart home technology with a focus on Toronto and Montreal markets.

Strategy and Activities

Developed a series of media activities including product review programs, holiday gift guides, influencer seeding programs and media events to generate awareness and buzz around their newest products.

Hosted multiple events including a product relaunch event to highlight the future of the smart home and a lunch and learn for mommy bloggers, which targeted key lifestyle and parenting media.

Targeted stories around home security and the smart home tech industry.

Arranged additional press briefings/meetings with key media and bloggers to introduce products and spokespeople.

Results

417.95% increase in coverage clippings from 2015 to 2016.

Increase in tier one media coverage by 279% year-over-year.

Significant coverage in national and major publications and broadcast, such as the Marilyn Denis Show, Cityline, Chatelaine Magazine, Zoomer Magazine, CBC, La Presse, Salut Bonjour, etc.

Combined PR efforts resulted in a total audience reach of 114 million plus over a three-year span.
