Senior Director, Toronto

We are looking to hire a Senior Director in Toronto whose superior client service capabilities are equal to their ability to seek out and secure new business opportunities.

You’re experienced in strategic planning and running large-scale projects for a wide range of industries offering a wide range of services including consumer mar-com, corp comms, public affairs, crisis management and digital customer engagement.

Expertise

The Senior Director participates in the planning and execution of various projects, through the following activities:

Strategic planning and ongoing counsel

Prospecting and development of new clients; participation in calls for tenders and drafting of RFP responses

Superior writing skills, with an emphasis on strategic plans

Coordination of internal and external teams

Participation in integrated communications campaigns including various corporate and marketing communication disciplines

Development and execution of processes in the management of issues or crises

Direction in content creation and graphic production, in close collaboration with our creative services studio.

Requirements:

More than nine (9) years communication experience, including more than three (3) years in a public relations firm and more than three (3) years in a management role.

Strong track record in new business development (prospecting and farming).

Experience in managing large-scale projects, in corporate communication and/or communication-marketing.

Experience serving a variety industries, regionally and nationally managing internal and external teams (including suppliers and freelance support) .

Excellent writing skills (press releases, speeches, plans, client correspondence and more).

Diploma or degree in public relations/communications from a recognized College or University or equivalent experience.
