What business communications tool remains one of the most used? Emails, of course. However, since emails are used so often it’s important to remember that we should use them properly, especially when communicating with our most significant audience, clients.
- Use “reply all” cautiously.
- Resist sending the “thanks” email.
- Unless it’s an emergency, don’t reply after hours.
- If you’ve traded more than three emails, call.
- Use subject lines wisely.
- Keep it short.

A new Ipsos Reid study says that in the past year more than eight in 10 Canadian internet users have made an online purchase in cosmetics, furniture and pet products among popular items. Below are some interesting findings from the survey.
- 82% of Canadians were buying online; making the most digital purchases were consumers between the ages of 18 and 34.
- 92% of these younger consumers have purchased online this year, while 82% of those who have bought online were aged 35 to 54.
- Most common items purchased online were cosmetic and beauty products; up six percentage points from last year.
