On September 5, 2023, the CASACOM team accompanied Volta during their unveiling ceremony in Granby to announce the first copper foil plant for electric vehicle batteries in the country.

The announcement was made in the presence of François Legault, Premier of Quebec, François-Philippe Champagne, Canadian Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, Pierre Fitzgibbon, Quebec Minister of Economy, Innovation and Energy, Minister Responsible for Regional Economic Development and Minister Responsible for the Metropolis and the Montréal Region, and François Bonnardel, Member of Parliament for Granby, Quebec Minister of Public Security and Minister Responsible for the Estrie Region.

Our team took care of the organization of the press conference and press relations. The event proved to be a success with more than 200 partners and influencers from the region and beyond present for the occasion. The news was covered in more than 200 media (not counting rebroadcasts) on the web, television and radio (general and specialized) in Canada and around the world.

Some results to learn more about the project:

Several months after the event, the Volta team noted an increase in requests for meetings and information on their production line, which demonstrates the enthusiasm for this manufacturer of copper foil, a sector which was little known until now.
